- Abstract
We designed “AVEC”, a wheelchair for old caregivers that can be intuitively controlled with minimum force and enhance communication with passengers. We set three design objectives through objective data and hands-on experiences. In order to achieve them, we have developed three prototypes based on the process of the iterative design cycle. After verifying the usability and testing various types of structure, the final prototype was designed to enter our daily lives through intuitive power assistance, enhancing communication between users, and usercentered design.
